Cook With Us
Live a unique, hands-on cooking adventure that starts in the old market of Heraklion and ends in the kitchen of “Parasties”. Together with our team, you will stroll through the city’s alleys, find small treasures of fresh ingredients straight from local vendors, and then end up at “Parasties”, where the fire is ready and cooking becomes art. With help from our team, you will take part in preparing a delicious meal, which you and other participants share at a warm, family-style table.
The Route
- Start 12:00 | Lion Square.
- Walk through the old market (1866 Street) with stops at traditional shops.
- Visit the fruit and fish market to pick fresh igredients.
- Short stop at the Church of Saint Minas.
- Walk through scenic alleys until you arrive at Parasties Restaurant.
The Cooking

- Arrival at the restaurant.
- Short break to get comfortable before cooking experience.
- Light the fire.
- Clean fresh vegetables and fish.
- Prepare salad.
- Make dough for a traditional pie with greens.
- Grill fish or meat.
